Recipe Of The Week-BBQ Ground Pork Sandwich

I was shopping and saw some ground pork on sale-and being thrifty, I came up with an idea for a great tasting ground pork BBQ sandwich. It was quick, inexpensive, and very very delicious. Here is this weeks recipe.

3 lbs Ground Pork

6 slices of provolone cheese

6 Sub Rolls (I used wheat rolls-but you can use whatever)

6 Kosher Dill Pickle Slices

1 to 1 1/2 Cups BBQ

1 tbs Salt

1 tbs Black Pepper

1 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Cinnamon

Directions:

In a mixing bowl-add ground pork, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Mix all the spices into the ground pork and blend well.

In skillet add this ground pork mixture and cook thoroughly until done-drain off grease.

Transfer cooked pork to a mixing bowl, add in the BBQ sauce and mix together completely.

Cut rolls down the center and split in two. Place the rolls on a broiling rack.

Add BBQ ground pork mix onto the sandwich rolls and then add the slices of provolone cheese.

Place this into the broiler and broil for about three minutes to melt the cheese-you can go a little longer if you like your cheese crispier.

Add the pickle slice and some mustard if you like-and enjoy-they are delicious.
